Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE)

The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE) was established on October 12, 1978 and has been recognized as a Statutory Department and one of the authority and sustained rapport between the universities and the community.

The DLLE offers students various Extension programs in which students are enrolled for work projects and perform various activities for the social awareness based on various issues in the society such as Save Girl Child, Pollution, Aids, Global Warming, Environment, Tree Plantation, Importance of Education, Illiteracy, Child Labor, Dowry Deaths, Malnutrition, Watershed Management and so many. The students are creating awareness about these social problems/issues through various activities such as Street Play, Exhibition, Poster Making, Songs, Speech, Survey, Elocution, Seminar and Conferences.

The enrolled students for DLLE of Degree College from different faculties are awarded ten additional marks at final examination on completion of 120 hours and submission of Project Report of work on Extension Work Project undertaken in an academic year.

This committee started in academic year 2022-23 in our college.

Objectives:                                                        

  1. To develop among students a sense of responsibility towards society.
  2. To design programs that will help students to face life and its challenges and thus create an ambience for a learning society.
  3. To enhance student employability.
  4. To cater to the needs of the unreached for promoting knowledge-based society.
